Druid PvP Macro Set — Arena Targeting
Shapeshift-aware offensive macros for Feral/Resto hybrid druids in 2v2 and 3v3 arena. Each offensive ability has two variants, one per enemy unit ID, so you can CC or bomb either opponent without clicking frames or retargeting.
How These Work
Every offensive macro follows the same pattern: cancel any current form, shift into the form the ability requires, then cast the ability on the targeted arena opponent without changing your current target.
One press vs. two presses. Cyclone and Entangling Roots fire in a single press because /cancelform is instant and doesn't consume the global cooldown. Feral Charge and Bash require two presses when you're not already in bear form (first press shifts, second press attacks) — shapeshifting into Dire Bear triggers the GCD, so the ability has to wait a tick.
Test arena unit IDs first. Try these in a skirmish or duel-style warm-up. If @arena1 / @arena2 silently fail, jump to the Focus Fallback section for a @focus-based variant that works on any client.
Stance Reference
Druid stance IDs used in the [stance:X] conditionals below:
| ID | Form | Used in |
|---|---|---|
0 | Caster (no form) | Cyclone, Roots, Lifebloom casting |
1 | Bear / Dire Bear Form | Charge, Bash |
2 | Aquatic Form | — |
3 | Cat Form | — |
4 | Travel Form | — |
5 | Moonkin / Tree of Life | Lifebloom (Tree) |
Dire Bear vs. Bear Form: These macros use Dire Bear Form (level 40+ rank). If you're below 40, find-and-replace with Bear Form.
Bear Form + Feral Charge
Cancels your current form, shifts into Dire Bear, then Feral Charges the selected arena opponent. Two presses if you're starting from caster or cat form.
Charge — Opponent 1
arena1#showtooltip Feral Charge /cancelform [stance:2/3/4/5] /cast [nostance:1] !Dire Bear Form /cast [stance:1,@arena1] Feral Charge
Charge — Opponent 2
arena2#showtooltip Feral Charge /cancelform [stance:2/3/4/5] /cast [nostance:1] !Dire Bear Form /cast [stance:1,@arena2] Feral Charge
Bear Form + Bash
Same shift pattern as charge, but casts Bash — a 4-second stun in melee range. Two presses required when not already in bear.
Bash — Opponent 1
arena1#showtooltip Bash /cancelform [stance:2/3/4/5] /cast [nostance:1] !Dire Bear Form /cast [stance:1,@arena1] Bash
Bash — Opponent 2
arena2#showtooltip Bash /cancelform [stance:2/3/4/5] /cast [nostance:1] !Dire Bear Form /cast [stance:1,@arena2] Bash
Panic Shift — Emergency Bear
One-press button that just shifts you into Dire Bear Form for the armor and HP pool when you get jumped. No attack attached — pure defensive. Good to have bound to an easy-to-reach key for "oh no" moments.
Emergency Bear Form
Defensive#showtooltip Dire Bear Form /cancelform [stance:2/3/4/5] /cast [nostance:1] Dire Bear Form
Why not just press the bear charge/bash macros? Those cast an ability the moment you're in bear, which locks you into combat animation and facing. This one just shifts, leaving you free to immediately run, Frenzied Regen, or shift right back out.
Caster Form + Cyclone
Drops any active form and starts casting Cyclone on the targeted arena opponent. Single press — works from bear, cat, travel, moonkin, or already-caster state.
Cyclone — Opponent 1
arena1#showtooltip Cyclone /cancelform [stance:1/2/3/4/5] /cast [@arena1] Cyclone
Cyclone — Opponent 2
arena2#showtooltip Cyclone /cancelform [stance:1/2/3/4/5] /cast [@arena2] Cyclone
Caster Form + Entangling Roots
Same cancel-and-cast pattern. Use for peeling melee off your partner or setting up a Cyclone chain on the opposite target.
Roots — Opponent 1
arena1#showtooltip Entangling Roots /cancelform [stance:1/2/3/4/5] /cast [@arena1] Entangling Roots
Roots — Opponent 2
arena2#showtooltip Entangling Roots /cancelform [stance:1/2/3/4/5] /cast [@arena2] Entangling Roots
Caster Form + Hibernate
Long-duration sleep against beasts and druids. Affects hunter pets, feral/resto druids, and any druid stuck in form. Often forgotten in arena but it's a huge CC against the right comps. Same shift-and-cast pattern as Cyclone — single press from any form.
Hibernate — Opponent 1
arena1#showtooltip Hibernate /cancelform [stance:1/2/3/4/5] /cast [@arena1] Hibernate
Hibernate — Opponent 2
arena2#showtooltip Hibernate /cancelform [stance:1/2/3/4/5] /cast [@arena2] Hibernate
Hunter pet targeting: To hibernate a hunter's pet you need the pet selected, not the hunter — @arena1/@arena2 target the enemy players, not their pets. Bind a "target enemy pet" key (or use Gladius pet frames) and swap to /cast Hibernate without a target token for that case.
Faerie Fire (Feral)
Instant-cast in any form — including bear, cat, travel, and tree. No shifting needed. Reduces enemy armor, prevents stealth/invis for a short duration, and most importantly breaks stealth on use. Your mandatory anti-rogue and anti-mage (anti-invisibility) opener.
Faerie Fire — Opponent 1
arena1#showtooltip Faerie Fire (Feral)() /cast [@arena1] Faerie Fire (Feral)()
Faerie Fire — Opponent 2
arena2#showtooltip Faerie Fire (Feral)() /cast [@arena2] Faerie Fire (Feral)()
About the empty parens: The () at the end disambiguates the feral version from the caster-only "Faerie Fire" spell. If your client rejects the syntax, drop the parens and use Faerie Fire (Feral) instead.
Tree of Life + Lifebloom
If you're not in Tree of Life, the first press shifts you into it. If you're already in Tree, it casts Lifebloom on your current friendly target (or yourself if no target). No opponent variants needed — this is your healing macro.
Tree — Lifebloom (Current Target)
Utility#showtooltip Lifebloom /cast [nostance:5] !Tree of Life /cast [stance:5] Lifebloom
Tree — Lifebloom on Immortaldoug
Partner#showtooltip Lifebloom /cast [nostance:5] !Tree of Life /cast [stance:5,@immortaldoug] Lifebloom
Tree — Lifebloom (Mouseover)
Mouseover#showtooltip Lifebloom /cast [nostance:5] !Tree of Life /cast [stance:5,@mouseover,help,nodead][stance:5] Lifebloom
Partner-targeted heals cast on the named player regardless of your current target, so you can keep Lifebloom stacks ticking on Immortaldoug while focusing an enemy for Cyclone or Roots. First press shifts to tree if needed, subsequent presses stack Lifebloom.
Mouseover variant heals whoever your cursor is hovering (party frame, raid frame, or world unit) if it's a friendly target, otherwise falls back to your current target. Essential for 3v3 where you're juggling multiple allies.
Swiftmend
Instant-cast burst heal that consumes an active Rejuv or Regrowth HoT on the target. Castable in Tree of Life. This is your emergency top-up when Lifebloom isn't enough. Always have Rejuv rolling on Immortaldoug so Swiftmend has something to eat.
Swiftmend — Immortaldoug
Partner#showtooltip Swiftmend /cast [nostance:5] !Tree of Life /cast [stance:5,@immortaldoug] Swiftmend
Swiftmend — Self
Self#showtooltip Swiftmend /cast [nostance:5] !Tree of Life /cast [stance:5,@player] Swiftmend
Swiftmend — Mouseover
Mouseover#showtooltip Swiftmend /cast [nostance:5] !Tree of Life /cast [stance:5,@mouseover,help,nodead][stance:5] Swiftmend
Nature's Swiftness + Healing Touch
The ultimate clutch save. Nature's Swiftness is off-GCD and makes your next Nature spell instant — chain it with a max-rank Healing Touch for a ~7–9k instant heal in one press. 3-minute cooldown, so save it for "partner is about to die" moments.
Shift GCD warning: If you're not already in tree form, the first press shifts you into Tree (which uses the GCD). NS and Healing Touch fire on the second press. Either stay in tree during setup, or press twice in rapid succession.
NS + HT — Immortaldoug
Partner#showtooltip Healing Touch /cast [nostance:5] !Tree of Life /cast [stance:5] Nature's Swiftness /cast [stance:5,@immortaldoug] Healing Touch
NS + HT — Self
Self#showtooltip Healing Touch /cast [nostance:5] !Tree of Life /cast [stance:5] Nature's Swiftness /cast [stance:5,@player] Healing Touch
NS + HT — Mouseover
Mouseover#showtooltip Healing Touch /cast [nostance:5] !Tree of Life /cast [stance:5] Nature's Swiftness /cast [stance:5,@mouseover,help,nodead][stance:5] Healing Touch
Innervate
Mana regen cooldown. Restores a large chunk of mana over 20 seconds. Instant-cast, usable in any form (no shift required). Use on yourself in extended matches, or on Immortaldoug if they're a caster who ran dry.
Innervate — Self
Self#showtooltip Innervate /cast [@player] Innervate
Innervate — Immortaldoug
Partner#showtooltip Innervate /cast [@immortaldoug] Innervate
Barkskin
20% damage reduction, 12-second duration, 1-minute cooldown. Usable in any form, while stunned, and while silenced — no form check, no shifting, no casting. Reactive panic button.
Barkskin — Solo
Any Form#showtooltip Barkskin /cast Barkskin
PvP Trinket + Barkskin
Combo#showtooltip Barkskin /use 14 /cast Barkskin
Trinket slot: /use 14 fires your bottom trinket slot, which is where most players keep their PvP trinket. If yours is in the top slot, change it to /use 13. This macro breaks fear/stun/poly and pops Barkskin in a single press — the classic "I'm about to die" button.
Nature's Grasp
Reactive self-buff that procs an Entangling Roots on whoever hits you next. Caster-form only, so the macro cancels any active form before casting. Pop it when melee are training you and you need breathing room to heal or LoS.
Nature's Grasp
Reactive#showtooltip Nature's Grasp /cancelform [stance:1/2/3/4/5] /cast Nature's Grasp
Abolish Poison
Dispels all poisons and prevents new applications for the duration. Castable in Tree of Life, so the macro only shifts out if you're in bear, cat, travel, or moonkin. Critical vs rogue, hunter, and spriest comps.
Abolish Poison — Self
Self#showtooltip Abolish Poison /cancelform [stance:1/2/3/4] /cast [@player] Abolish Poison
Abolish Poison — Immortaldoug
Partner#showtooltip Abolish Poison /cancelform [stance:1/2/3/4] /cast [@immortaldoug] Abolish Poison
Remove Curse
Dispels one curse. Druid and mage are the only classes that can remove curses, so this is mandatory vs mage or warlock comps. Castable in Tree of Life.
Remove Curse — Self
Self#showtooltip Remove Curse /cancelform [stance:1/2/3/4] /cast [@player] Remove Curse
Remove Curse — Immortaldoug
Partner#showtooltip Remove Curse /cancelform [stance:1/2/3/4] /cast [@immortaldoug] Remove Curse
Polymorph is a curse? No — Polymorph is a Magic debuff, not a Curse. Druids can't dispel polymorph. Remove Curse handles mage Curse of Tongues / Curse of Weakness and warlock curses.
Travel Form Toggle
One press to shift into Travel Form, press again to shift back out. Travel form breaks on taking damage, so it's mostly useful for pre-match positioning, escaping after CC lands, or kiting between pillars once you've generated distance.
Travel Form
Toggle#showtooltip Travel Form /cancelform [stance:1/2/3/4/5] /cast [nostance] Travel Form
Fallback: Focus Targeting
If @arena1 / @arena2 don't work in your client, use focus targeting instead. Bind a key to the "set focus on mouseover" macro below, then start each arena by hovering one opponent and pressing it. The other opponent becomes your regular target.
Mouseover Focus Toggle
Setup/focus [@mouseover,harm,nodead][harm,nodead] /focus [@none]
Then replace every @arena1 with @focus, and every @arena2 with nothing (uses your current target). Example:
Cyclone on Focus
Focus#showtooltip Cyclone /cancelform [stance:1/2/3/4/5] /cast [@focus] Cyclone
Cyclone on Current Target
Target#showtooltip Cyclone /cancelform [stance:1/2/3/4/5] /cast Cyclone
Usage Tips
- Gladius addon is still worth installing even with
@arena1macros — the clickable frames give you instant trinket/DR tracking and help you remember which opponent is which. - Spam-friendly: The bear-form macros use
!Dire Bear Formwith a leading bang so repeated presses don't toggle you out of bear. Hold the key down and it just works. - Cyclone breaks roots. Chain a roots variant into the opposite opponent's cyclone variant for the classic double-CC opener — no retargeting required.
- Lifebloom tree macro is a two-press experience the first time each match: press once to pop tree form, then keep pressing to stack Lifebloom. Once you're in tree, every press is an instant Lifebloom.
- Bash requires facing + range. Feral Charge closes the gap and faces you automatically, so the charge-then-bash sequence chains cleanly: one press of Charge, one press of Bash once you land.
- No pet confusion: These macros don't touch your party or pets, so they're safe for any composition (RMD, shatterplay, jungle cleave, etc.).
Putting it together in a typical 2v2 opener: Faerie Fire arena1 (breaks stealth) → Roots on arena2 → Cyclone on arena1 → shift to bear → Charge arena1 → Bash arena1 once the cyclone DR resets. Your partner burns while you keep arena2 permanently rooted / cycloned.
Keybind suggestions
With this many macros, you'll run out of number keys fast. A common druid layout:
- 1–5: Lifebloom (Immortaldoug), Swiftmend (Immortaldoug), Rejuv (Immortaldoug), Regrowth (Immortaldoug), Healing Touch (Immortaldoug)
- Q/E/R/T: Cyclone arena1/arena2, Roots arena1/arena2
- F/G: Hibernate arena1/arena2
- Shift+1–5: Same heals but on yourself or mouseover
- Mouse buttons: Charge, Bash, Faerie Fire, Panic Bear
- Z/X/C: Barkskin (+trinket), NS+HT, Innervate
A word on diminishing returns: Cyclone, Hibernate, and Bash each share different DR categories. Cyclone is its own DR, Hibernate shares with Polymorph/Sap, Bash shares with other stuns. Chain across categories rather than spamming the same CC.
